Why just now? FCC Chairman recommends free web for all

Although I may not be an American, reading that the outgoing FCC chairman wants free WiFi nationwide is crazeee. 

I have a feeling that he wanted this all along but didn't dare work on it until he's about to leave his position. Why? Consumer advocates would be totally all over this as free WiFi means free porn as well. Since the cat's out of the bag, it's up to the in-the-tech Obama administration to continue this project. 

Good luck to them, I hope this would become a precedent for other nations to copy.

Finally! Nokia jumps on the touchscreen wagon

I remember Nokia as a juggernaut and leader, not a bandwagon-jumper. Yesterday, Nokia just proved me wrong by introducing the N97: a touchscreen phone.

Naturally, it has all the features you'd get from an iPhone and more.

I guess this would put them near the top of a gadget geek's Christmas list. LOLZ

However, what disturbs me is that Nokia seems to have joined this craze late. Was it a marketing plan to release this a few days before Christmas or did they have to a hard time convincing themselves that touchscreen is the future of mobile phones?

Whatever, the reason, it would be best for Nokia to look forward and develop a new product that would make the world say: "Wow! We never thought of that!"

WTF? Apple pulls down anti-virus recommendation

Just a few days after posting in their site that Macs should also use anti-virus programs (just in case that there are Mac viruses out there in the wild), the administrator decided to pull it down.

The reason?

"We have removed the KnowledgeBase article because it was old and inaccurate," Apple spokesman Bill Evans, explained for Macworld. "The Mac is designed with built-in technologies that provide protection against malicious software and security threats right out of the box,” he added.

Reaaaallllyyy...LOLZ!!! Thanks to that statement, Apple just became the virus-creator's flavor of the month. My prediction? The world will be seeing some viruses that target Macs to come out of the woodwork from today until middle of next year.

The reason why viruses don't target Macs IMO is because they don't have that large enough users to target. Yikes! Now with the statement given by Apple, they will probably be saying the next one a few months from now:

"Me and my big mouth."
