Statusnet is a great place to follow people from different social networks. I posted how to do it for Google Buzz, Posterous, and Tumblr. But for those who want to follow Twitter users, below is the easiest way I know how
Follow Twitter users in Statusnet via Cliqset:
- Go to http://cliqset.com and log in.
- Click on "Explore"
- Enter the name of the person or company you'd like to follow either in Cliqset or Google Buzz.* Or you can choose among the "Popular Users" list. (Ex: http://cliqset.com/scobleizer)
- Copy the link to their Cliqset profile.
- Go and log in to your Statusnet or Identi.ca account.
- Look for "Subscriptions" and click on "Remote".
- Paste the Cliqset link.
- Click on Approve
*only users who have a Cliqset account can be followed
