gPotato just announced that existing Aika international players on or before April 7, 2010 can continue playing the game.
We’re pleased to announce that non-North American player accounts which existed on or before April 7 (the day the registration IP block took effect) will be able to play gPotato’s version of Aika. The registration restriction will remain in effect for new accounts outside of North America.
So no more new international Aika accounts. This will make existing international players happy but this will make their friends/guildmates who haven't been able to create an account, go somewhere else. Granted it's a saving move on gPotato's part, but without new international players coming into the picture, the game's population will grow ever more slowly with only the North American players left to fill in new shoes.
Thanks to Triz for the heads up!
